How Spray Foam Insulation Mansfield Works
Spray Foam Insulation Mansfield insulates and air seals homes, barns and shops in Mansfield and the towns around it, from Ontario and Lexington to Ashland, Galion and Mount Vernon. We spray open-cell and closed-cell foam, blow cellulose and fiberglass, insulate basements, rim joists and existing walls, and take out old insulation that has failed.
Most of the houses we see were built long before anyone talked about air sealing. A quarter of Mansfield's homes went up before 1940, and many of the rest are 1950s and 1960s ranches and two-stories that were insulated to the standards of their day. Winters here bring close to 50 inches of snow, so the attic, the rim joist and the basement walls are where comfort is won or lost.
What a visit covers
We start in the attic and measure what is there. Then we look at the basement or crawl space, the band of framing that sits on the foundation, any room over a garage or porch, and any wall you want looked at. We check for the things insulation should never hide: roof leaks, wet sill plates, mold, rodent nests, knob-and-tube wiring, loose vermiculite and bath fans that dump into the attic.
How we price
Each space gets its own line on the written quote with the material, the thickness or depth, the R-value we are aiming for and the price. If blown-in insulation will do the job for less than foam, the quote says so. Work starts only after you approve it, and any change is agreed in writing first.
Who calls us
Owners of older homes in Mansfield, Ashland, Galion and Bucyrus with cold rooms and drafty first floors. Families in 1990s and 2000s homes in Ontario and Lexington with a hot bonus room. Farmers and hobbyists who want a pole barn or shop they can heat. Buyers whose home inspection flagged thin attic insulation. Anyone finishing a basement who wants the walls and rim joist handled before drywall.
